Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Ms. Williams, and I am writing to express my support for the 1st-grade study of economics at our school particularly the innovative approach taken by the teachers to incorporate plants and art into the curriculum.
Understanding economic concepts at an early age is crucial for a child's development, and I am thrilled to learn about the engaging and hands-on activities planned for the 1st-grade students.
By integrating plants and art, the students will not only grasp fundamental economic principles but also develop a love for learning in a creative and interactive environment. We need hydroponic pods, trimmers, ballon arch and mire to make this happen.
My first graders love taking care of our hydroponic system and watching plants grow and change. Students want to branch out into learning about how fruits are grown. If we produce enough I would like students to tie in what they are growing into our economic unit of buying and selling.
I am confident that the combination of plants and art will make the learning experience both enjoyable and memorable for the students. As they explore economic concepts through hands-on activities, they will develop critical thinking skills, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them. I look forward to hearing about the positive impact of this program on the 1st-grade students and the broader school community.
