Help me give my students an opportunity to operate a successful school based enterprise.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
This project will enhance the students' exposure and experience of operating a school-based enterprise and provide students with valuable learning opportunities in sales, marketing, promotion, entrepreneurship, and customer service. A school-based enterprise provides students with real-world, hands-on experience in running a business, fostering skills in teamwork, problem-solving, communication, financial/inventory management, and operations/logistics.
An engaging school-based enterprise can play a vital role in promoting school spirit, fostering creativity, and developing entrepreneurial skills among our students.
Students will showcase their creativity by designing innovative products that cater to the needs of our target market. Students will design logos, create merchandise, and create marketing materials. Students will create advertising campaigns, social media content, and other promotional materials that grab their peer's attention. Students will utilize their creative skills to create visually appealing displays, store layout and decorations. Students will design and showcase eye-catching packaging that can help attract repeat customers. Our school-based enterprise will promote product launches, sales promotions, and fundraisers.
My students are in need of the foundational equipment (i.e. heat press) to create and sell such as t-shirts, other appeal items and merchandise (i.e. magnets, mousepads, bags, and other school spirit items). Our operation allows students to apply academic concepts and knowledge in areas such as business management, marketing, finance, and customer service. Students will develop skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, critical thinking, decision-making, creativity, and adaptability. Students learn about budgeting, pricing, revenue generation, profit analysis, and financial decision-making. School-based enterprises can generate funds for the school and be used to fund extracurricular activities, scholarships, competitions, trips and educational resources.
