This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Having a positive classroom environment is KEY to a successful year. A classroom economy will allow my students to be engaged in routines, build a positive environment and practice real world skills. With the items I have requested, students will be able to purchase them with extra money they may have. My students love working to earn extra money to buy stickers, cars, and animal erasers. They have also asked for some cool pens and other items that they can work for.
By donating to our project, you will be providing tools to students of an underserved community to learn and understand real world skills, which in turn will help them increase their academic achievements.
They will learn that every decision has consequences both good and bad. They are free to choose, but they are not free from the consequences of those choices. This project will motivate and teach students to become more responsible and provide them with money management skills.
