Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Everyone deserves experiences they will never forget!

I teach sixth, seventh and eighth graders who have limited exposure with nature!

Some of my students have never been on a hike but they light up when I share my experiences with them.

Please help me to give my students with disabilities an encounter outside of the school walls. We will explore the Maryland area with a hike that overseas a waterfall. We will discuss some endangered plants and animals from our area. The books listed will be read during our thirty minute reading time, while they enjoy some of the snacks listed too. Finally, they will eat lunch before ending our journey!

I believe that this adventure will last way longer than the actual day; I believe that they will look back on this day and thank all of you who have contributed to these memories.
