Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a first-year classroom teacher looking forward to creating an environment where my students feel welcomed and at home, away from home. The items that I am requesting will contribute to my students' overall comfort in the classroom which will aid in students feeling motivated to learn new information. The goal and intended use for the items being requested is to allow my students a space that is personalized to their needs. I plan to incorporate things like name tags, student mailboxes, etc. A new pencil sharpener would be excellent to add to our classroom, along with new books, and other basic items. With your donation(s) my students will be provided a space containing all the materials needed to learn effectively while appreciating the space they learn in. All donations are greatly appreciated!
