My Project

I absolutely love teaching 5th grade and as time has gone along, I've noticed that the increase in the pricing of supplies has made students not be able to bring their own to school. Supplies to fund a classroom are expensive and becoming harder for families to provide for their students. This grant will help all of my students feel successful because they will have the necessary tools available to learn the 5th grade curriculum. They are basic supplies, but necessary.

I will use these supplies from this grant to help students who can't afford to provide their own be successful in 5th grade.

The biggest thing that I want my students to learn while I am their teacher is responsibility. I use the binders to have students carry their planner and their homework back and forth to school. The students use the notebooks and folders in each of the subjects that I teach which are Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math. I make interactive journals for the students to learn from for each of the core standards, and I want my students to learn how to be better organized with folders for each subject matter. The use of expo markers, pencils, erasers, highlighters, and crayons are used to help in my classroom by students, teachers, and also classroom aides.

My students are excited to come to school, to learn, and to use supplies that will help aide their learning. By donating to my project it will help students have the tools necessary to complete assignments, be organized, and learn to be responsible for their learning.
