My Project

Help me give my students the love of reading while sipping on warm hot cocoa, all while lounging on a fuzzy rug. What could be better?

"Hot Cocoa and Reading" will immerse my students in WWII literature while building their knowledge of WWII concepts, vocabulary, and enhancing their comprehension.

My students love to read and they love Social Studies, especially WWII. My students love to discuss their literature and have debates on topics. Students will meet on the carpet to discuss their Social Studies topic of the day, sip hot coca ( warmed in the microwave) , all while building their discussion techniques, building vocabulary skills, and enhancing comprehension on WWII topics.

As I am building independent students and life long learners, I want them to take pride in their work and in their learning community. Students will be responsible for keeping their discussion area(carpets) clean daily.
