Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love getting books from the library, however even new books can be loved a bit too hard. A thermal binding repair machine will help well-loved books look like new! Students will have more access to books by repairing books. It is much less expensive to fix them than purchasing new when they are damaged. Paper towels and tissues are crucial in my library because every student in the building visits, and we want to keep germs to a minimum.

As I teach every class in my school and books are being checked out, supplies are being used up as students come in and out of the library.

My goals are to get more books on shelves, to make reading more accessible with reading strips and to motivate students with things they love such as stickers!

My students are thoughtful, kind learners who love the library! I appreciate your support in helping my students continue to love literacy!
