This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am passionate about my students' curiosity and eagerness to learn. Each of them brings a unique perspective to the classroom, enriching our discussions and fostering a vibrant learning environment.

The resources I'm requesting for this project will have a significant impact on their learning journey.

By providing them with diverse readings from different parts of the world, we can broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of global cultures. Through these readings, they will not only improve their language skills but also develop empathy, cultural awareness, and a sense of interconnectedness with people from various backgrounds.

My goals for this project are multifaceted. Firstly, I aim to foster a love for reading and exploration among my students. By exposing them to captivating stories and perspectives from around the globe, I hope to ignite their curiosity and inspire them to become lifelong learners. Additionally, I seek to cultivate empathy and respect for cultural diversity, encouraging my students to approach the world with an open mind and a willingness to learn from others.

What makes my students special is their enthusiasm for learning and their willingness to engage with new ideas. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wealth of experiences to our classroom discussions. My wish is for them to fall in love with reading while discovering new places, inspiring them to dream that they too can visit those places by studying, working, and being active members of society.
