My Project

I am an English Language teacher and I have over 50 students who are learning to read, write, and speak English. Most of my students are new to the country and have limited English ability. Many students attended school in their home country and have some ability to read in their home language.

I would love to have a classroom library that has books for my students to read that will help them in learning English while continuing to invest in their native language.

Having books in their home language will greatly help with their comprehension and transfer knowledge of one language into another language. It will also help my students feel more comfortable, successful, and eager to read when they see books in their native language.
