Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are working very hard to learn their sight words, letters, and early literacy skills. Please help give my wonderful 20 kindergarten students new materials to help make small groups and centers more engaging for them. My students are at an underserved low income charter school in Chicago. My kindergarten students learn best through play and by using hands-on materials. The materials that are being requested for this project are materials that would be used for small group instruction and centers to enhance learning. All of the materials being requested will be used to reinforce the standards being taught and learning objectives. These materials will provide opportunities for hands-on learning, foster creativity, and supports students in developing essential skills in school and beyond. Listed in the cart are additional items including a colored printer, organization plains, and scoop chairs. These items will also be used for small group instruction to give my students flexible seating in the classroom. The colored printer will also allow me to print activities off for centers for my students in color since our school does not have a colored printer. Any donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
