My Project
Aloha,
My name is Zoviel Charles.
I teach music at Nimitz Elementary here in beautiful Hawaii. Here in Hawaii a day called May Day is celebrated. On this day many school across the state put on a performance to show cases mainly Hawaiian culture. However our school this year is putting on a program that highlights the cultures of not only Hawaii but other Polynesian cultures.
Students are learning dances from Hawaii, New Zealand (Maori) and Tahiti. I am so excited to be apart of putting this program together for my school. With that said, in order for students to truly show case the cultural looks they need items to do their dance. Our 5th grade classes are doing a song called Tititorea from the Maori culture of New Zealand. That is why we need your help to fund these Dowel sticks so they can use it fortheir performance. Thank you for your help and time.
