Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In effort to offer lessons to as many of my students as possible, I am looking to add a piano to my classroom. This would not only provide students who have been asking to learn the piano the opportunity to do so, but would also enrich my general lessons through implementing it into my everyday classroom routines.

The current piano we have in our classroom is very old and out of tune.

My hope is that getting an electric keyboard added to my classroom will mitigate most issues associated with tuning.

Due to the natural set-up of my classroom, I’m looking to get a piano that is easy to carry and transport; additionally, my students deserve a piano with adjustable height, considering their ages and size.
