My Project

Recorders are an instrument that people tend to either love or hate. I personally have never been a fan of teaching recorders to large groups of students due to the finger precision needed to cover the instrument's holes. Small fingers often miss the mark, resulting in some unpleasant sounds.

However, I have discovered a new recorder that fixes the issue of funky fingering and ear piercing squeaks, the Nuvo Recorder!

Nuvo recorders are built with silicone flaps that cover the instrument's holes when pressed, and its larger holes result in a more pleasant and mellow sound. Additionally, the instrument has plastic barriers on the sides of the keys, guiding students to using the correct hand position when playing the instrument. The Nuvo recorder makes me want to explore recorders with my students.

Mrs. Kerechanin will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 10.
