This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Creating affirmation cups and t-shirts for students is a heartfelt endeavor driven by the profound belief in the transformative power of positive affirmations. In the dynamic and often challenging environment of academic life, students face various pressures and uncertainties. The intention behind these affirmation cups is to cultivate a culture of kindness and self-empowerment, fostering a supportive community within our school. I need a mug and heat press, paper to learn and teach the process of making these cups and shirts. By gifting students with cups adorned with affirmations, the aim is to inspire and uplift their spirits, reminding them of their inherent strengths, and resilience, and that they belong at our school.

These cups and shirts serve as tangible reminders that they are valued, capable, and deserving of success no matter their race or where they are from.

The ripple effect of such simple acts of kindness can contribute to a more compassionate and positive educational experience, promoting not only academic achievement, but also the overall well-being of students as they navigate the complexities of learning and personal growth.
