This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our students come from various backgrounds, and many are new to learning about space and solar eclipses. The last solar eclipse occurred in 2017; many students hadn't even been born. Our space unit has gotten lots of attention from our parents, and students have shown interest in learning more about space and all things science.
I would love for our students to view the solar eclipse to conclude our unit on space and the solar eclipse.
I believe the students will have a deeper understanding of the concept. Our students are very special in every way. Sometimes, sitting in a classroom for a long time can be boring to our students. Sometimes, teachers try to incorporate fun ways to keep students engaged in their learning subject. I believe participating in an event like this would truly change how they see education.
I would love for the students to see how a person can learn by being inside and outside the classroom. This will keep their attention, and I hope they will go home and tell their guardians the amazing things they learned in school that day.
