This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I can't believe how close we are to starting new school year! I am thinking about what we need to make the new year be a successful start for everyone. One thing that is very important to me is making sure that I provide my students with supplies from the get go. That way everyone comes in and has what they need from day one, and no ones feels left out by not having what they need.

Our pencil boxes have gotten a lot of use and are ready for retirement at the end of this school year.

I will be providing my students with new pencil boxes to keep all their materials organized. Pencil boxes are a key organizational tool in our classroom. We keep all of our materials in there and use them all frequently. I would also like 2 colored folders to keep our work. I will use the velcro to stick the nametags to their desks. This allows them to easily remove the name tags to come to the back table with them for small group support. Finally, the calming strips are something I have added as a way to support students social-emotional learning needs. Thank you for providing my students with materials to start the year off strong.
