My Project

I have been a primary teacher for 12 years and I love the excitement, energy, and eagerness of my first graders! The joy they have when they learn something new is contagious and I love their light bulb moments.

My classroom is in need of a rug that will fit all my students and a teaching easel to help enhance engagement.

Our classroom rug is an integral part of our daily routine. We learn, read, play, build, and connect with each other daily on the classroom rug.

With my increased class size, my current rug is too small for all the students to fit. This new rug would provide the space for all my students to fit on the rug and help build a happier classroom environment so no one is left off the rug during our time there.

The classroom easel will help enhance student learning in my classroom. It will be used for both whole group and small group instruction. It will provide me the space to put up visual aides, read big books, highlight important aspects of lessons, and have more interactive small group lessons. This easel will be used throughout the day in several content areas.

The combination of a rug with enough space for all my students and the teaching easel will support both student learning and a productive classroom environment. Thank you for your support in helping my first grade class.

Mrs. Gershon will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 10.
