Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

During our 5th grade year, we cover a unit on volume and discuss 3D vs 2D shapes. The folding geometric shapes will help my students visualize what we are talking about in real life not just on their papers. The laminating paper will also allow me to laminate their posters and things they make during this unit. Another great addition to our class will be the podium so that I will be able to use my laptop next to the board and have the needed books and materials close by on the shelves when I need to pull them out to show the students.
