This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Working at a low income, Title I school means we do not always have the necessary supplies needed to create a hands-on learning experience for the students through Math Stations. Students greatly benefit using hands on manipulatives to physically see how they are adapting and manipulating numbers through computation. After Covid, a lot of our math manipulatives were taken home and never returned which has severely decreased our resources.
At our inner city school, these students are already so behind with so many gaps.
We want to help make sure they can be the most successful they can be by helping the school have resources necessary to teach the materials and not just worksheets.
