Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The celebration of Spring in the classroom is a most important time for students. In addition to taking their state assessments to show their growth academically, the students are also preparing for new beginnings; new classes, new schools, and new grades.
In order to celebrate the growth my students have made this year, this project will enable them to grow their own flowering seeds along with a tulip bulb to symbolize and remind them of the growth they have accomplished.
The Sungro Potting Soil and Back to Roots potting soil, the Heirloom Seed Packets and Oxford Tulip bulbs, and Wousiwer plastic planters will provide the students with all that they need to get plants and flowers growing. They will also celebrate themselves by making Spring celebration baskets filled with treats ranging from Oreo Easter Eggs cookies, Jelly Beans in individual packets, Mrs Prindables Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods, Starburst Jelly Beans and Skittles inside various plastic eggs.
