Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My Master Builders are continuously my why. They have worked diligently this past year to increase their knowledge and skill content. Now that we are at the end of the school year, I would like to celebrate them with a camping room transformation.

Instead of a typical end-of-year class party, I want to give my Master Builders something unique that ties up everything we have learned this past year in second grade!

Camp Learned-A-Lot will transform their desks into individual tents using tablecloths, pretend campfires, pillows (for seating), and flashlights. They will have different activities, such as reading books, visiting educational websites on their computer, completing puzzles, participating in STEM challenges, and completing reading/math activity sheets. Students will have the juices to drink when thirsty throughout the day. No camping experience is complete without s'mores, which is where the cereal, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and 4-ounce cups come into play.
