Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

During April and May, the students often spend their days navigating difficult test questions, drilling for fluency and stamina, and filled with anxiety about the upcoming test. Each year, our students work hard through state test prep season diligently. A lot of them experience "testing blues". In other words, they become filled with worry and tension around the big test day. Each year it gets harder and harder to get them to feel prepared and excited about reviewing for the test. This year I decided to make it fun with by incorporating an exciting "Glow Day" into test prep. I want to transform my classroom into a fun, glow-in-the-dark space where students can review content in a way that they enjoy!

Funding this project will give me materials, decor, games, and rewards for my students when they get discouraged during testing season.

This project will help me encourage them and ease those worries by making test review engaging and enjoyable!
