My Project

I have been a kindergarten teacher for 25 years. Over the past several years we are noticing that children are spending too much time on the screen and not enough time engaging in creative play. In my classroom I continue to believe in the power of play and being creative.

In my classroom we spend time engaged in free play with no screens each day.

Students are able to create with play-doh, paper, crayons and markers. Students are able to choose if they want to build with blocks or LEGOs or pretend play in our home living area. We need your help to restock and replenish materials, including yarn, beads, gems, and craft sticks.
