My Project

At our school, we educate all students in grades K through 6. On a daily basis, we aim to provide quality education in a safe, fun and supportive environment, which respects the diversity of all individuals. We strive to develop responsible citizens and leaders, involve parents and the community, and instill a love of learning in a nurturing atmosphere. We expect academic excellence and celebrate student achievement.

My inclusion classroom consists of resilient, intelligent children who require daily and varied differentiation and modification in the curriculum.

Many of my students lack the resources and funding to ensure access to equality in education.

This year, our class greatly enjoys play. Through pretend play we have taught essential self-regulation and social emotional learning skills. I am asking for items that will provide a classroom with important items that align with our curriculum through play.

We teach twenty second graders. I have twelve ELL students, sixteen students who require an individualized education plan including eight students with an autism diagnosis. More than half of our student population is economically disadvantaged. The environment in my classroom is one of hope, curiosity, risk-taking, and kindness.
