My Project

I work with students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing in all grades K-12. These students have language deprivation and I want to give these kids the same opportunities to learn and thrive as their fellow students. They are not "less than" and I want to help build their confidence and help them realize that they CAN do anything they set their mind to.

To be considered literate you have to have a 4th grade reading level; language deprivation means these students don't.

I'm starting from scratch with some of these students, and I just want to show them how to take on this world by storm and own their lives!
