Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Enthusiastic, silly and creative!! These are some of the words that describe my second graders. They come to school each day, rarely missing. They want to play with each other and learn together. These are the things that warm my heart and I try to nurture.

Mac n Cheese, Chef Boyardi and other snacks that the kids like are just enough to give them something to snack on over the weekend.

These snacks will give my students supplemental food for for their bellies throughout the weekend when they may not have enough to eat.

These snacks fill their bellies, as well as their hearts, by letting them know that others care about them even though they don't know them!

That will have just as important impact on them as the snacks themselves. After a weekend with these snacks, my students will be ready to learn come Monday morning!

Helping them grow and fostering a love of learning is why I love my job.
