My Project

With so much emphasis being put on the Science of Reading and the knowledge of how we the brain learn to read, I would like to provide my students with more resources. These materials will be very hands-on, and the students will be able to use them to decode and compose words.

One way to help my students enjoy learning how to read is to provide them with decodable books from TPT, and technology such as a document camera, speaker, and a microphone to make learning engaging, we will also use research-based programs like secret stories and tools4teaching.

I am striving to find new ways to help students love reading and the process that it involves. I hope to have decodable books of different genres and interests but still first-grade-appropriate. It is a whole class worth of activities that students can do.
