My Project

Please help give my students the incredible opportunity to see the plant life cycle from start to finish. Living in Wyoming provides an arid climate, one in which many of my students have never ventured outside of. This means they have never experienced tropical plants, moss, and the plants that grow in that humid climate. I currently have a hydroponic system in my classroom and the students are amazed to see vegetables grow- I would love to give them the opportunity to see the different plants that grow in other climates as well!

Studies show that caring for plants improves focus, lowers stress levels, and keeps the mind in a more positive state.

Not only will students be able to watch these new plants evolve, they will also have the chance to care for them and the fish in the Aquaponic System. Yes, they've been asking for a class pet for months- and this is one that we can learn from! Having these systems will also help with my calm and positive classroom vibe. Please help my students learn and succeed with this neat opportunity to have new and exciting plant life and the worlds best classroom pet!
