My Project

My four year old kindergarten classroom is filled with many busy learners. They love to play with hands on manipulatives and create with blocks and other learning toys. Our classroom does not have enough storage for materials the students need access to. A new shelving unit would help organize classroom learning items such as small toys, paper for writing, home/school folders, and science/art materials. With a storage shelf, students would be able to access materials independently and also know how to clean up on their own. When a classroom has adequate storage furniture, students are better able to learn skills such as organization, teamwork for clean up, and the consistency of materials being organized in a way that they can have access to.
