Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

During the pandemic and virtual learning, parents understood the many roles of teachers. Some parents were surprised to find out that Cursive Writing is no longer a requirement in schools. I was surprised when some of my scholars did not know how to hold a pencil properly. This is not surprising as some of them left school in third grade once we shut down.

Even now, students do not know how to sign their signature.

Even though we are living in a high-tech era, scholars are judged on their handwriting for note-taking and being able to express themselves in written format.
