My Project

Here at MVES, we are a school located on a military base. We are an IB school, and focused an inquiry-based approach to learning. One of our goals this year to is to help broaden our learning with the creation of a Makerspace. What is a Makerspace? It is a time and place for people (students) to create … invent … tinker … explore … experiment … and discover using a variety of materials. It’s also a mindset, with creativity as its foundation and inquiry as its cornerstone.

Why have a makerspace?

In order to help embrace student learning and engagement, we need to make sure their are enough materials readily available so classes can come visit the makerspace daily to learn and investigate with a variety of materials.
