Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I plan to use these items to help my students succeed in their personalized learning. Having headphones helps each student stay focused on their personalized learning platform and to remain fully engaged in their intervention learning. Having access to dry erase markers allows for students to have a hands-on experience for working to solve their math equations on a board before writing them down on paper. Having bins and folders in the room will also allow students easy access to assignments they might have missed due to absences. These bins will also be used to students who complete their class work tasks early. They will have an opportunity to go to a bin and select another task to work on, while other students are still working, or when they’ve completed small group work. These supplies will help our students finish their school year successfully, hands on, and fully engaged! As a yoga teacher, I also have the opportunity to show my students some yoga moves that help with decompressing, and alleviating stressful situations. It will be fun to incorporate yoga in the classroom to students who might be interested!
