My Project

Each year our school holds a food drive to collect food for families in our school who are in need. My class and I read the book Maddi's Fridge and had a lot of discussions about food insecurity. They took it upon themselves to make sure that our class did as much as we could to bring in items for the school food drive.

Our school has decided to set up a community food pantry at the entrance of our school for families to take food as they need.

Some students in my class noticed the pantry has gotten very low and want to help fill it back up. This food would help fully stock our pantry to help families struggling with food insecurity have quick access to some different fruit, vegetable, and pasta dishes.
