My Project

I teach an Early Childhood Education Program that services students with special education needs, as well as students that do not have special education needs that become amazing peer models. This program gives students with varying abilities the chance to learn and thrive together. The students support and challenge each other daily as they work and play in an enriching environment of opportunities.

The students in this program are curious, enthusiastic, eager, and ready to be given the opportunity to learn.

Their use of hands on activities and manipulatives increase their engagement and help promote cognitive, language, and motor development areas. The interactive math manipulatives, math games and interactive math books give hands on imbedded learning opportunities that can be offered during small group teacher directed times as well as child directed free choice time. I love watching the growth that happens at this age in their development when the children are supported in their achievements and given an enriched environment where their learning can grow.
