This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Have you ever wondered what makes your classroom a special place to be? I ask myself this question each and every day and the answer is always the same: my incredible kinder students. Maybe they don't have the best life but their energy, dedication, and smiles are infectious.

I work in a Bilingual School in a large urban district and my kids often come from environments that do not offer them many opportunities to discover, explore or interact with the world.

Nor with technological advances. I would like to introduce robotics for my kindergarten students, so I can dream that my students can have the same opportunities and experiences as other more fortunate children.

I would like to give my students access to robotics and technology in class. Bee Bot, the robot will offer an educational tool for kids to think out of the box, and the tablet will be used to learn coding from scratch. With these tools we will be able to create a robot corner in class. The best is that everyone in my class is at the same starting point where everyone is a beginner. No one has more background or experience than another with robots so we will all begin together. Honestly, that is a reason enough to bring robotics into classroom. I can already imagine the laughter and applause of my little students.
