Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Many of our students have limited access to necessities due to financial constraints. Faculty and staff frequently use our personal funds to ensure that our students' needs are met while they are in our building. We are always in need of feminine hygiene products. Oftentimes, our students need extra supplies to take home with them, especially over weekends.

This project will allow us to create small, discrete personal hygiene kits for our students who menstruate.

I plan to have them available at several places within our buildings. By increasing access to feminine hygiene supplies, our students will have increased agency and privacy.
