My Project

During indepedent work time, students are allowed to choose where to complete their work in the classroom. Their options include sitting at the carpet, on cushions, at barstools, and at different tables around the room. Providing student choice on where to sit serves to further motivate and engage students. The stools that my students like sitting on are in a state of despair. A few have broken leaving us with 3 wobbly legged stools. I am requesting new sturdy stools to replace our old ones. These stools will again be used as a flexible seating option and for small group instruction.

Providing students with choices throughout the day allows students to take ownership in their learning.

Their are times throughout the day that students request calm music to be played. For this reason I am requesting a wireless speaker as my classroom speaker is not in the best condition. The speaker will allow me to play relaxing music while students complete work, creating a calm and welcoming classroom environment.
