This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The school I teach at is a Title I-funded school, and most of our families are considered low-income. These supplies will take the burden of purchasing new supplies off of the families and make it so all students have exactly the same supplies to use each day. These materials will help my students complete tasks and learn at school.
I work with a diverse population of students who have varying needs and benefit from interactive lessons.
The supplies that are being requested include pencils, crayons, and glue. These are essential items that are needed on a daily basis, but that also need to be replaced. All of these items will be used during interactive lessons or to organize the classroom that we work in.
