This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
While our school provides some of the supplies in my classroom, parents also provide for their students. However, these supplies may only last for a few months. A few would bring new materials to school but most do not, leaving most of my students nothing to use. The lack of school supplies can affect the confidence and motivation of students, as they may feel not equipped to participate in class activities and complete their work. This is a big challenge to their learning experience.
Giving my students the right and enough supplies in my classroom can enrich their learning and make classroom management easier.
My students will feel motivated in the classroom and will enjoy a better learning experience when they are given the right supplies in school. Having enough classroom supplies will give them confidence and eliminate the stress of feeling left out which can be the reason for not being able to focus and be productive. It can help improve attitudes towards learning and eventually improve their academic performance.
