Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Who doesn't like to play games and have a little fun at school? My students love to have math review GAMES in math class and love it more when they can come in the form of healthy competition. Most Fridays we have 'game day'. This is when we have the opportunity to partner up, team up or just play individually and we do math games that review the math we are currently working on. The students all get to have fun while they review their crucial math skills.

I LOVE to give out little prizes after the games- and here EVERYONE is REWARDED just for trying!!

Everyone who plays gets an incentive for participation because in math class, participation is golden! I then give rewards to the highest percentage in accuracy, because we ALL NEED to know our MATH FACTS. I would love to be able to give my students snacks at other times, during math, to help power them through the day, because so many of them come to class saying they are hungry.

With your help I can continue to provide them great prizes on game days AND keep their bellies happy too.

And, a sweet treat, once in a while, never hurts either.
