My Project

Thanks to the generosity of many, I was able to secure the suggested read aloud's for the first half of the year with a new English Language Arts Curriculum.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the diverse titles.

My students have and will benefit from the book by increasing their background knowledge. In addition, some of the titles offer career exploration and character education.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and having books that are inclusive make them feel connected to their learning. Our school is inner city with 98% poverty rate. The students don't leave the neighborhood very often, these books allow them to "go where ever they desire".
