This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach resilient, hardworking English Language Learners in a Title I-funded, low-income community in Brooklyn, New York. We are a diverse community with many different educational needs. Our vision is to rise above educational expectations, to rise to be educational explorers and innovators, to rise to be leaders in life, to rise to meet the needs of our families, and to rise to ensure that every child has an opportunity for success!

As an educator, I firmly believe in the power of interactive learning experiences, particularly when it comes to literacy development.

With hands-on materials such as my English Language Learners will have the opportunity to engage with reading in a tangible and memorable way. These resources not only make learning fun and engaging but also help reinforce essential phonics skills and decoding strategies. Your generous contribution towards acquiring these Lakeshore Match sets would make a significant difference in the educational journey of my students and help set them up for success in reading and beyond.
