This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The majority of my students come from low-income households, single parents, and recently immigrated here to the United States. My school is a Title I school. All students receive free lunches based on socioeconomic status. As a teacher working in this area, my students are faced with many challenges inside and outside the classroom. For example, the language barrier, low self-esteem, and working below grade level affect their academic learning.

My goal for my students is to provide them with a safe academic environment where students feel comfortable and can achieve their learning goals.

This project will help my class get borders, letters, and a hot glue gun to create a bulletin board where students can display their fabulous work. The pencil sharpener will help us sharpen our pencils faster in order to be ready to do our daily work.
