Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I have worked over the past 2 years gathering things so that my students have had the opportunity to experience new things while learning about the rich history which is African American history. Within this history, we have talked about African Americans in STEM, entertainment, music, and art.

I want to add another level to their experience.

Student will have a project of creating an interview with a historical figure. They will need to create an powerpoint presentation and record speaker note OR they will have the choice to record a podcast or interview with this person.

The microphone system will allow them to record these interviews or podcasts. I want to use these projects to help motivate students to read aloud in class and create an atmosphere of entertainment though public speaking or interview recording. The speaker system will give them a professional experience and teach some new skills about recording and using a microphone system.
