Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My wonderful students love to read and write. Representation matters. I love seeing my students' faces light up when they open a book with a beautiful title and book cover with characters that look like them. Unfortunately, many of these books are expensive which makes this experience difficult to obtain.

Your donations will provide beautiful books with cultural diverse characters that will help continue to build a multicultural library inside our classroom.

Our classroom is bright and colorful and these new books will be a welcomed edition. Our goal is to make sure all students are able to show growth and pass our state's standardized test. Learning to read for fun will help us achieve our goal and allow the students to know there are authors who look like them. I know my students will appreciate any help you can give us!
