This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students have come from Africa, Asia, Central and South America to pursue better opportunities. Most people can't imagine leaving their home country and being immersed in a different culture, language, or traditions. Please help me provide instructional resources to help my students improve their language skills in writing, listening, reading, and speaking. My students are eager, motivated, and committed to being successful. They are committed to their education and appreciative of the opportunities that they have been given.

The instructional resources will help the students be successful academically.

The materials will provide strategies that will help the students improve their English skills. Students must pass a proficiency test with a near-perfect score.

These young people give up their time from work and family to stay after school twice a week.
