This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students of my school are in desperate need of model constructs to help them learn about subjects that they do not encounter in everyday life. DNA is one of these such topics. Students now, often arrive with lots of potholes in their learning, and do not understand a lot of the basic science either because it was never taught, have had poor attendance, or cannot conceptualize topics. Often in low or no budget science classrooms like mine, they draw or design their science lessons without the much needed materials because Math and English are the primarily supported subject areas.

Help me fund this project of DNA kits and low-budget science experiments for pairs of students to construct DNA strands so they can learn about this aspect of Biology.
