Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students will utilize games to further their understanding of basic reading and math skills. Participating in games as a learning tool gives them the opportunity to also practice social skills, strategy, problem solving, and gives them a break pencil and paper practice often used in math and reading instruction.

Interacting in cooperative games offers a hands-on opportunity to focus on skills that need reinforcement.

White boards give the students a chance to modify and think through problems that can be easily changed as learning occurs. The boards will provide students with a variety of ways to solve problems and demonstrate their learning.
