My Project

I work each day teaching my students how to get their needs met. Everyday, my students come in hungry from home, lunch, and recess. Often times, they haven't brought in a snack from home. Without snacks available in my classroom, they may not have access to a snack, therefore, impacting their ability to learn. When they can access healthier snacks, they have more energy and are able to focus on their learning and relationships with classmates. My students are learning and growing, they need more nutritious foods to assist them!

These students often only have access to high-carbohydrate, low fiber/protein snacks.

This is not a sustainable source of energy. Hunger impacts their overall well-being as well as their ability to focus and participate in their education. Please help me nourish our students!
